2011 Annual Scientific Meeting The 2011 ISPO UK NMS annual scientific meeting will take place on 7th & 8th October 2011 at the W12 Conference Centre, Hammersmith Hospital, London. We welcome Assistant Professor M Jason Highsmith from the University of South Florida, Tampa, USA who will present this year’s Blatchford Lecture entitled “Safety, Bioenergetic and Healthcare Cost Efficacy of the C-Leg Microprocessor Prosthetic Knee: A Review of the Literature”. In addition, Professor Andrew Boulton, University of Manchester, will deliver the prestigious OETT Lecture on Saturday 8th October. His lecture, entitled “The Diabetic Foot in 2011” will focus on the management of the diabetic patient. In line with previous years, prizes, generously donated by BLESMA and the Limbless Association will be awarded for best free papers. The annual conference dinner will take place on the evening of Friday 7th October at the Ramada Encore London West Hotel. Tickets are priced at £35 and can be booked by completing the delegate registration form. The W12 Conference Centre is ideally located in West London, just minutes from London’s Underground system, close to the arterial A40, just a few miles from Heathrow Airport and a brief 20 minute walk to the new Westfield London Shopping Centre. The nearest tube stations to the W12 Conference Centre are White City and East Acton on the Central Line and Wood Lane on the Hammersmith & City Line.
