2008 Annual Scientific Meeting
Special accommodation rates have been negotiated with the Crowne Plaza for the night of Friday 31st October. With effect from 19th September, accommodation can no longer be booked online, however, delegates should contact the hotel directly at 01244 899900 quoting booking code “ISP” and indicating you are a delegate at the ISPO Annual Conference. Subject to room availability, the special rate of £135 will still apply. Car parking in the hotel is complimentary and subject to availability. Delegates should get their car park exit tickets validated at reception before leaving the hotel. In the event this is full, overspill parking is available in the nearby Princess Street Car Park. This car park is locked at 11.30 pm and open again at 7.00 am. The cost for a 24 hour stay is currently £7.50 and the scratch cards are available from the hotel reception. Please note scratch cards should be displayed before entering the car park and the hotel cannot be responsible for any vouchers which are not renewed. You may also part in the Trinity Street Car Park. Car parking charges advertised will apply. You are invited to submit a paper for the meeting and guidelines for doing so can be found in the attached document . Papers are also invited for the prestigious George Murdoch Prize Medal. Papers should be based on major research or other original work relevant to the field of amputation surgery, prosthetics, orthotics rehabilitation or bioengineering. The deadline date for submission of free papers for both the Scientific Meeting and the George Murdoch Prize has been extended to Wednesday 25 June 2008. The 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting will take place on 31st October – 1st November and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Chester. A first class hotel with excellent conference and leisure facilities and on-site parking, the hotel is located in the heart of the city of Chester.
