ISPO UK awards bursaries to members to enable them to attend conferences, make work-related trips or complete research projects. Some bursaries are provided by ISPO UK itself, others are generously donated by companies.

To encourage and reward a high standard of presentation of papers at the Society’s Annual Scientific Meetings ISPO UK awards a number of prizes:

George Murdoch Prize

Sam Gallop Prize

The Sam Gallop Prize of £150 is awarded at each Annual Scientific Meeting for the best Research & Development free paper.

At the Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting, two prizes, each of £150, are awarded for best free papers, at least one of which must relate to prosthetics.

The Limbless Association Prize

At each Annual Scientifc Meeting a prize of £150 is awarded by the Limbless Association for the best free paper in the area of socket comfort.
