Outcome measures from body-worn activity monitors in lower-limb amputees - M Granat

There are currently limited data on how prosthetic devices support lower-limb prosthesis users in free-living. Having the ability to monitor a patient’s physical behaviour while using these devices would enhance our understanding of the impact of different prosthetic products. This talk focuses on the specific needs for real-world physical behaviour outcomes in both above and below knee amputees showing how we can derive rich behavioural information from activity monitoring alone. We will also look at the practical aspects of how these devices could be embedded into the prosthesis, and how real-time information could be delivered to a remote clinic.
