Innovative practice during Covid: Transferring learnings to improve P & O services post Covid - J Sullivan
ISPO UK hosted a
webinar in December 2020 with the title 'Rebuilding Prosthetic & Orthotic
Services Post Covid'. At this juncture Covid was rapidly accelerating across
the globe. P & O services were severely curtailed and in some cases shut
down with staff re-deployed within the health sector. This period of turmoil
became a catalyst for change, accelerating the use of technology in the P
& O sector. This applied to patient contact, treatment and manufacturing
methods. What have we learnt from this experience? Can we apply the learnings
during Covid to change practice and improve P & O services . . . or will
we revert to business as usual? |
