Multi-articulating Hand Policy/Implementation

Virtual Consensus Meeting - Thursday 15th December 2022

At a recent Centre Managers/NHSE meeting implementation of the MAH policy was discussed with a view to ensuring a consistent implementation across centres.

Clinical aspects were considered including; prioritisation, applying criteria/patient selection, outcome measurements, data collection, support and training

The ISPO UK UL SIG was suggested as a forum to facilitate this discussion due the MDT nature of the group and the inclusion of researchers.

Please note that for this particular meeting, due to the importance of capturing the thoughts of all centres, membership of ISPO and the SIG is not required.

Dr Alix Chadwell is Chair of the ISPO UK Special Interest Group. Alix has kindly agreed to support this event/discussion.

A single session event is envisaged with preparatory work ahead of the date. A follow up meeting will be organised if required.

The meeting will be virtual on Thursday 15^th December, 10.30 am – 12.00 pm. This is short notice but given the impending roll out of this policy it was felt a meeting sooner rather than later would be of value.
